SALES & MARKETING - MARKETING

Main Goal

To lead the Product Management of the Cereals Crops portfolio for the UK and Ireland. To lead a cross functional campaign team to generate profitable sales and royalty, building a market leading position for Limagrain Field Seeds UK.

Job description

• To lead a campaign team to create a sales and royalty budget annually and every other year a Mid-term plan followed up by a 5-year roadmap with measurable KPI's and strategic portfolio plans
• To develop and implement campaign plans across all market channels and functions to achieve financial objectives
• To plan and manage the introduction and development of varieties in the Cereal Crop sector.
• To determine seed production targets of relevant species and liaise with the Field contracts department to produce seed.
• To liaise with seed processing management and staff to agree appropriate and timely processing plans.
• To recommend and support the sales manager to identify suitable distribution strategies.
• To work closely with the Finance team to provide accurate cost and margin information for the Cereal crops business.
• To determine, implement and control wholesale pricing policies for seed of Cereal crop varieties, and to recommend prices for Nickerson sales.
• Set Cereal royalty rates and sign off with UK management team.
• To create an annual marketing campaign to support sales, with the Marketing Communication coordinator and to supervise their implementation.
• To assist in the planning and execution of trade events, launches, demonstrations and exhibitions.
• To liaise closely with the Cereal technical team and to provide supporting data and market trends to customers and sales teams.
• To regularly liaise and attend European DPM department meetings.
• To represent Limagrain UK with key influencers BSPB, NIAB, AHDB, UK millers and maltsters.

Skills: what we expect of you

Degree in Agriculture or a related discipline, backed up with at least 3 years.
in a sales or marketing role in the agricultural industry.
A good understanding of the UK seed trade would be advantageous.
