SUPPORT FUNCTIONS - PURCHASING

Main Goal

As part of the activities of the Limagrain Ingredients Business Line, you will have full responsibility for purchasing and for coordinating the integrated chain interactions necessary for our business. As such, you will design the purchasing roadmap, in particular for the purchase of raw materials, packaging, transport and energy. You will play a key role in the company's CSR and decarbonisation strategy. Given our company's agri-food and animal feed business, the job involves all aspects of purchasing risk management.

In addition, you will occupy a central position, in the context of the integrated chain at the interface with all the stakeholders: Limagrain Cooperative, the Group Purchasing Department, and the sales and supply chain functions of Limagrain Ingredients. This position also involves taking part in interprofessional events.

This position is part of the Limagrain Ingredients management committee and thus contributes to the definition of strategy and its execution.

Job description

Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director, you will be responsible for :

·       Safety : Ensuring the safety of your teams by contributing to the company's safety policy, working within your team and implementing and monitoring actions.


 

 

·       Strategy

Anticipating and securing the company's needs in order to contribute, through purchasing, to the company's commercial development and to strengthening the sector.

Representing Limagrain Ingredients on the group's purchasing steering committee in order to define relevant purchasing policies for the company and the Group.

·       Operationnaly:

Working with the Limagrain Cooperative to draw up agronomic requirements for raw materials for the coming corn and wheat harvest.

Purchasing wheat and maize in France according to sales forecasts and industrial needs.

Managing effectively Matif wheat and maize hedges

Negotiating of co-product sales contracts and purchase negotiations in line with Group policy.

Analysiing of changes in purchase prices to define and support the company's commercial and pricing policy.

·       People management

Managing and leading a team: leading, communicating, organising work, delegating and developing the knowledge of your team based in France and the Netherlands, with the aim of developing their motivation and expertise.

·       Administrative and financial management

Steering purchasing performance, drawing up and managing the department's operating budget

·       CSR :Deploying the quality and CSR/decarbonisation policy for purchasing

 

Skills: what we expect of you

You have a 5-year higher education qualification, such as an engineering degree in agronomy or agri-food or a business school. You have successful experience in purchasing management, in a large entity with a CSR purchasing approach. Ideally, your experience is linked to an agricultural cooperative and you have an agronomic background.

You are familiar with the various commercial and negotiation strategies.

You have a good knowledge of purchasing management tools and a solid legal background.

An interest in quality and regulatory issues would be a plus.

 

You are recognized for your managerial and interpersonal skills, which enable you to work in collaboration with all the company's functions and maintain good relations with suppliers.

Your active listening skills enable you to understand the needs of your contacts. Your agility, tenacity and creativity have enabled you to find solutions and reach agreements.

You have the ability to step back and take a global view, as well as being able to get involved in the implementation of very short-term operational actions.

Given the importance of the integrated chain, you have a good command of French.

You master IT tools.
