Job description
Position Description Summary
The FP&A Commercial Business Analyst for AMPA will be a key part of the global FP&A team and will directly assist the VP and the sales organization of AMPA in managing the company's financial performance goals.
This position supports the consolidation, analysis, and reporting of AMPA regional financial results. This role will support financial management efforts with accurate, clear, and timely analyses and regional reporting, as required in monthly and quarterly closings, forecasting/budgeting, and internal reporting.
In addition, a portion of the role will involve scenario analysis by providing management with an assessment of historical and forward-looking financial performance, including analysis of business performance and trends, risks and opportunities, and clear communication of business insights.
Eagerness to learn the business along with genuine curiosity of our industry will be critical to succeed in this position.
Sales & Margin Analysis and Reporting
• Analyze sales & margin data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.
• Develop and maintain sales & margin reports and dashboards to monitor key performance metrics.
Financial Planning and Analysis
• Support the consolidation of AMPA financial results during forecasts, budgets, and long-term planning exercises, collaborating with local and global finance team members.
• Provide accurate and clear ad hoc financial analysis at regional and Business Unit level as needed.
• Participate in, and potentially lead, the monthly close analysis, comparing actual performance to financial outlooks and reviewing revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses (OPEX) accuracy and trend.
• Validate the consistency of information provided by subsidiaries and offer guidance on key indicators (P&L, balance sheet, working capital requirements, etc.).
• Collaborate with other business analysts to create the monthly flash report and country contribution report.
Business Partnering and Support
• Provide day-to-day business partnering and support for the VP of AMPA, General Managers in AMPA, and the Regional Financial Manager.
• Work cross-functionally within the organization, serving as the primary financial analysis contact when needed.
• Support business initiatives, including analysis for new product development, strategic crop reviews, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Assist in monthly reporting in IFRS and consolidation formats.
•Act as the BI tool (Business Intelligence: MicroStrategy) key user for the AMPA region for the sales reports.
Process Improvement and Optimization
•Identify and implement plans to optimize planning, analysis, and reporting processes, leveraging information technology to automate and streamline these processes.
Management
• Directly manage an intern (V.I.E) supporting the AMPA sales region and other regions.
Skills: what we expect of you
Education and work experience required:
• 3-5 years of experience in finance (FP&A, Audit, Consulting or Accounting).
• Master's degree in accounting, Finance or Engineering with Finance emphasis is a plus, Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required.
• Fluent in English mandatory
• Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Experience consolidating data, cash-flow analysis, a plus,
• Industry experience: Agriculture, Manufacturing, Consumer Industry, Processing, Automotive would be a plus.
• Reports to: Director of Global FP&A, matrix dotted line reporting to Regional VP of AMPA
• Internal relations: All employees of HM.Clause, SAS. and its subsidiaries
• Travel internationally and domestically as required for business (total travel around 15%)
• Oversee the intern's tasks related to monthly reporting and the creation of standardized margin and OpEx reports.
• Act as a local matrix manager for other FP&A team members in the US.
• Participate in the recruitment process for open FP&A roles in the US, providing input and consultation in the final decision.
• Work with the direct manager(s) to develop the FP&A employees' skills through training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Share feedback and provide consultation on employee performance throughout the year and during the performance appraisal campaigns.
• In coordination with direct managers, validate monthly expense and travel reports, approve vacation and leaves, and maintain compliance to US and local laws and policies.
• Maintain FP&A values and sense of belonging amongst the US team, implementing meetings and activities to reinforce the FP&A values: camaraderie, accountability, curiosity, integrity, and innovative.
• Provide guidance, support, and advice to other US FP&A team members, helping them to grow and develop in their careers with Group Limagrain.
