To oversee, manage, and improve vendor seed production in China to meet company’s requirements: quantity, quality, cost, and timeline.

Main responsibilities

·         Coordinate seed production operation via company vendors in China to meet company’s requirement both quantity, quality, and timeline:

• Responsible on all production coordination activities from receiving stockseed, sowing to deliver the seed
• Field visit during production period (at least 2 periods of different crop stage)
• Monthly report for production progress (estimation, price)
• Collect necessary data related to production price
• Organize relevant production research with vendors

·         Field visit support in India, Thailand, and Vietnam when requested  and provide visit report for production progress.

·         Communication: timely production update to related person/department.

·         Budgeting: estimating, negotiating and agreeing budget and timescales with Manager.

Essential duties

·         Supervise, motivate, support and guide the work of production vendors

·         Organize relevant production research to vendors

·         Ensure that business ethics, health, safety and quality assurance guidelines are followed

·         Maintain good public relations with vendors, and local authorities

·         Maintain respectful communication with colleagues

·         Implementation of the company policies

Required knowledge & Skills

·         Must be proficient in both oral and written English and Chinese

·         Must be proactive.

·         Should be a team player and motivator.

·         Should be flexible and willing to learn.

Education & work experience required:

·         MSc or higher degree in Horticultural / Agricultural sciences or similar area.

·         Experience and knowledge of vegetable seed production and farm management desired.
