RESEARCH & INNOVATION - RESEARCH OPERATIONS

Main Goal

Reporting to the Traits & Technologies organization, the MAP molecular analysis platform supports Groupe Limagrain's breeding and seed production teams worldwide by providing them with genetic analysis data. As a technician in the Chappes genotyping laboratory, you will participate in the varietal creation process by implementing different high-throughput genotyping technologies in a context of innovation and constant technological renewal of the whole process to guarantee its efficiency and productivity.

Job description

- Production of genotyping data: analysis of DNA samples using high-throughput genotyping technologies for research and development projects or seed lot quality control.

- Data control, validation and import of results into the customer database.

- Participation in cross-functional activities to manage laboratory resources and equipment (equipment maintenance, consumables management, etc.).

- Involvement in the management of laboratory quality documentation (drafting, updating).

- Participation in the continuous improvement of the laboratory (working groups, team meetings, etc.).

Depending on the candidate's skills, profile and development within the team, additional tasks may be proposed at a later stage:


- Participation in the production launch of new technologies or software applications

- Supervision and/or training of new arrivals (interns, fixed-term contracts)

- Technical and/or organizational responsibility for a project or activity (planning, managing resources and/or equipment, drafting reports).

All these tasks are carried out in compliance with safety instructions, established quality documents and the efficiency and productivity constraints defined by the team manager.


The laboratory's activities require an industrial organization of tools and people, including a high degree of automation of processes and occasional adaptation of working hours (particularly Saturday work).

Skills: what we expect of you

- Bac +2 in biotechnology or equivalent
- Knowledge of molecular biology and genetics
- Computer skills, use of Pack Office

Recruitment process

Our recruitment process consists of several stages:

- the first consists of a pre-screening of applications by Jérémy, our Talent Acquisition Manager, accompanied by future manager Delphine, to establish a shortlist of candidates for audition. A telephone pre-qualification may be carried out.

- A first interview is organized with the future manager.

- A second HR interview follows shortly afterwards.

Finally, feedback is given to the candidates. Various tests may also be considered (language, personality, etc.).
