Main Goal

Vilmorin-Mikado Denmark, a research center of Vilmorin-Mikado, a seed company within Limagrain Vegetable Seeds, located in Odense, is focused on Research, Innovation and Breeding of Spinach varieties for the global seed market.

The Breeding Technician contributes to the development of new varieties by supporting the Breeder to implement the breeding program they have defined.

Are you passionate about agriculture and do you want to contribute to the development of innovative Spinach varieties? Then this position is for you!!

You will work in a diverse job environment with good working conditions where you will have the opportunity to develop yourself in collaboration with enthusiatic and committed colleagues in an international environment.


You will be responsible for making observations and ensure proper recording and analysis of data, field planning, label printing, scoring the traits, follow-up of the trials and other crop-cultural activities. You will be expected to actively  support the team in handling routine breeding activities as needed, mainly during the peak seasons.

You will manage and supervise the planned activities under the breeder's guidance. Take full responsibility for delegated parts of selection projects according to defined methods and strategies.

Skills: what we expect of you

What we expect from you:
You have completed an Agricultural University of Applied Sciences and you have knowledge of plant breeding/growing. You are a teamplayer, you are flexible and you have strong organizational and management skills. In your work, you are rigorous and driven.
You are comfortable with computer tools, you are proficient in the Office Pack and have a flair of IT for database management.
