Main Goal

As Commercial Manager for our Belgium / Netherlands / Scandinavia (BeNeScan) team your mission is to strengthen our position in this geographical area together with your team. Your responsibilities include sales, profitability and performance of the BeNeScan region. You manage a team of professionals (teams in the Netherlands and Belgium and one person in Scandinavia). Your management skills are an important asset in motivating and coaching this diverse group - much of this will be remote management since your team members are in different locations and many are home-based. You also play an active role in managing large key accounts. 

In your role as Commercial Manager BeNeScan you work closely together with colleagues in Sales, Product Management, MarCom and R&D and also with colleagues from other Hazera subsidiaries and sister companies in the Limagrain Group. You are based in Made and report to the Commercial Director Northern Europe.

Job description

Other responsibilities include:

Overall responsibility for all local operations, product development and sales;
Financial management with support of corporate financial department;
Managing commercial relations and agreements with suppliers HM Clause and Vilmorin;
Leading strategic planning for the region;
Providing accurate market data for the organization;
Reporting and investigating product complaints quickly, and handling the settlement of the complaints;

Cooperating with Vilmorin Mikado for leading and developing sales in Scandinavia through distributors and direct sales.


  • Bachelor's of Master's degree in agriculture or horticulture;
  • At least five years of experience in the vegetable seed business or related industry;
  • At least five years of experience managing teams in a technical commercial environment;
  • Strong enterpreneurial skills and behavior;
  • Excellent people manager;
  • Hands-on personality, independent and pro-active;
  • Fluency in the Dutch and English language;
  • Willing to travel internationally for around 25% of your time.
