It is a half time position, shared with BOS deployment preparation.

Vos Missions

Within the global maize research organization and breeding support, the candidate will provide support to the DH (Doubled Haploid) platform activities by leading various projects.

He/She will also take the lead in conducting studies and providing recommendations for implementing a global request/demand management system, which will be utilized by different platforms within the breeding support framework.

This position requires close collaboration with the Breeding Support team, DH team, Logistics team, and Counter Season team.

Key Responsibilities:

Understanding DH Production:

Participate actively in DH production at Nérac and Rilland sites, including involvement in harvest and embryo doubling processes.
Understand the DH production system and propose solutions to optimize the request and production processes for DH produced via embryo doubling versus traditional DH methods.
Demand Management within Breeding Support:

Manage demand across breeding support, covering areas such as DPM (Demand Planning Management), DH production, conversion, and transport.
Provide recommendations for optimizing user interfaces for platforms like conversion and evaluate tools such as PowerApps or other software (e.g., Monday).
Offer guidance and training in conjunction with the development of the conversion program and other services within the breeding support ecosystem.
DH Delivery & Comparative Study:

Lead a comparative study of two different DH production techniques:Traditional method: involving induction in isolation, selection of haploid grains, doubling in seedling stages, and transplanting.
Embryo doubling method: involving manual induction, embryo rescue, lab-based doubling, and field transplanting.
Expected outcomes:Compare production cycles and calendars of both methods, analyzing the impact on the collection of breeder requests and delivery schedules (depending on Business Units).
Assess potential IT solutions for managing continuous flow operations (e.g., software types).
Global Request/Demand Management:

Lead efforts to develop a global request/demand management process to standardize and streamline requests across platforms.
Conduct studies and provide recommendations to ensure the effective use of platforms and software, aligning them with the breeding support's needs and objectives.

Processus de recrutement

The future manager for the position will then carry out a second CV screening to create the most relevant shortlist possible.
A first interview will be scheduled with the future manager.
