SUPPORT FUNCTIONS - PURCHASING

Main Goal

Limagrain Group, a global leader in seeds and agriculture, is seeking a passionate and committed professional to lead the Group’s Indirect Purchasing policy.

Within the Administrative and Financial Department, as Group Indirect Purchasing Director you will define, implement and oversee the group’s indirect purchasing strategy structured in different product categories.

Working with different business lines and your team members, you will ensure purchasing performance accross the different product categories as well as compliance with the Group’s purchasing policy.

Job description

- Manage an indirect purchasing portfolio exceeding €400 million annually.


- Organize, supervise, and lead the Group Purchasing Department (6 people) spread over different product categories. 


- Define and implement the Group Purchasing policy,set standards and  ensure adequation between geographical scope and product categories, in accordance with Group organization.


- Control, harmonize, and improve processes to optimize purchasing performance.

- Implementing purchasing strategies aiming at reducing costs while ensuring the quality of supplies/services and minimizing risks for the company.


- Measuring and reporting purchasing performance for each purchasing category to the Financial Department.

• Conduct national and international negotiations, both sensitive and strategic, with the support of your team.

• Define and manage KPIs.

Skills: what we expect of you

• Master’s degree (Bac +5) from a business or engineering school, ideally with a specialization in Purchasing.
• Proven track record (minimum 10 years) in indirect purchasing in matrix organization, both Source to Contract and Procure to Pay.
• Demonstrated excellent managerial skills and strong leadership.
• Strong negotiation skills, process structuring abilities, analytical capabilities, and result oriented.
• Proficiency in English is desirable for career progression within the group.

If your application is shortlisted, the following steps are part of our process:
- After a pre-qualification interview, we will ask you to complete personality inventories and reasoning tests, which will serve as the basis for an interview with the Group Talent Management.

- You will then meet with our Group Finance Director, your manager.
- Finally, you will be invited to meet the Corporate Human Resources Director.


Given the summer vacation period, interviews will take place in September.
