SUPPORT FUNCTIONS - COMMUNICATION

Main Goal

Limagrain Group, Global leader in seeds and agriculture, is seeking a passionate and committed Director of External Communication to join their team.

As the Director of External Communication, you will be responsible for Limagrain’s external communication strategy. Your mission will involve promoting and defending Limagrain’s reputation and that of its subsidiaries on a national and international scale.

You will work closely with the Public Affairs department and collaborate with the Digital team and Internal Communication department.

Job description

Reporting to the Group Director of Communication and Institutional Relations, your main responsibilities are as follows:

1. External Communication Strategy:
- Propose and implement an external communication strategy for Limagrain, including corporate, financial, and non-financial communication.

2.Team Management:
- Develop and manage a team of 4 external communication professionals.

3.Corporate Communication:
- Standardize the company’s storytelling and narrative.
- Develop communication campaigns to promote the group’s image.
- Monitor media coverage and participate in key interviews.
- Collaborate on digital strategy with the Digital team.
- Create external communication content and materials (publications, brochures, position papers, etc.).

4.Financial and Non-Financial Communication:
- Organize financial and non-financial communication in collaboration with the finance department.
- Manage the publication of financial communication materials and integrate the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
- Prepare communication points for investors.

5. Crisis Management:
- Assist the Director of Communication and Public Affairs in operational crisis communication.

6. Influence Network:
- Maintain a network of influence with opinion leaders, journalists, and researchers.

7. Budget Management and Performance Tracking:
- Manage the external communication budget.
- Monitor communication performance indicators.

Skills: what we expect of you

You have  a master’s degree in communication or equivalent.


You are recognized as a strong communication professional with solid experience in developing influence strategies, project management, crisis communication, and expertise in press and media relations.


You have excellent writing and synthesis skills.


Successful experience in a matrix organization with an international dimension is a must. 


You speak English and French.
