Reporting to the Group's IP Director, and with your team of 2 patent engineers, you will participate in the development and implementation of the Industrial Property policy defined by Groupe Limagrain within Limagrain Semences Potagères (LVS).

Job description

Let's go into the details of your missions!

- Protect innovations and manage the patent portfolio;

- Monitor competitive IP activity. In this context, you will be responsible for analyzing the freedom to exploit the results of processes and products resulting from research and development programs, and where necessary, taking action against the IP of third-party competitors;

- Coordinate IP strategy in liaison with the decision-making bodies of the scope and ensure its implementation with operational staff (protection strategy, action strategy vis-à-vis third-party IP);

- Participate in coordinating the network of LVS IP Correspondents (training, strategic discussions and development of cross-functional tools);

- Train R&D community employees in IP principles and tools;

- Manage and support the activities of the entire IP team dedicated to the LVS perimeter;

- Within the department, actively participate in the pooling of expertise and efforts between department members, and more particularly between IP team members.

What will make you successful in this position?


You are a CEIPI graduate with in-depth knowledge of European and US patent law, contractual IP clauses, and in-depth technical knowledge of genetics, biology and biotechnology.

You have 7 years' experience in IP, preferably in a company, and initial experience in team management.

Mastery of French, European and American industrial property rights is essential, as is proficiency in portfolio management and sequence analysis tools for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
