RESEARCH & INNOVATION - TRAIT & SCIENCE SUPPORT

Main Goal

As part of a platform producing plants in continuous generations for our field crop research efforts, we are looking for a Research Engineer. The position will be in the Traits & Technologies department of Limagrain Field Seeds' Research division.


The main activities will be to monitor the cultivation of plants in controlled environments, from the palification of project leaders' requests to the synthesis of production results.

Job description

The main tasks are as follows:
- Planning requests from project leaders to set up greenhouse experiments. This planning will be done in consultation with the person in charge of the molecular analysis interface with the genotyping laboratory.
- Set up experimentation protocols, from sowing to harvesting, including cross-breeding plans and all the steps required to grow plants in a controlled environment.
- Interact with the various people in charge of plant cultivation to monitor experiments.
- Report on experiments to project managers.

In addition to the experimental tasks, the candidate will have the following additional tasks:
- Follow-up of the guidelines to be followed for plant cultivation in a controlled environment, with updating of the documents making up the QMS (Quality Management System) integrated into an EDM, and preparation of internal and external audits.
- Implementation of a software program to monitor growing areas in controlled environments.
- Within the framework of continuous improvement, assignments may be given to develop our processes.

Emphasis will be placed on safety-related procedures. In this context, the candidate will be required to follow the standards in place, but also to participate in improving working conditions.

Skills: what we expect of you

Agricultural engineer with BAC +5 (Master 2 or engineering school) fasaint proof :
- good organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team
- autonomy, responsiveness, rigor and dynamism.
- proficiency in the main office automation tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Recruitment process

Our recruitment process consists of several stages:

- the first consists of a pre-screening of applications by Jérémy, our Talent Acquisition Manager, accompanied by Sylvain, our future manager, to establish a shortlist of candidates for audition. A telephone pre-qualification may be carried out.

- A first interview is organized with the future manager.

- A second HR interview follows shortly afterwards.
