Main Goal

Context

 Located within the largest research center of the Limagrain Group, the proposed position collaborates with a broad diversity of researchers. The molecular biology scientist his hosted in the Genome Editing Development (GE-Dev) team at Limagrain Field Seeds Research that has for missions to evaluate, adapt, and advance cutting-edge genome editing tools. These technologies are intended for routine use in dedicated genome editing platforms for both field and vegetables crops.

Job description

Missions 

The Molecular Biology Scientist will be involved in the following tasks:

·  Technology Monitoring: Keeping abreast of technological advancements in genome engineering tools (GE).

·  Design and Execution of Experiments: Conducting experiments to evaluate improvements made to genome editing technologies, collaborating with other scientists.

·  GE Strategy Design: Developing genome editing strategies for specific targets, closely interacting with the Gene Discovery team and the Genome Editing platform dedicated to the vegetable crops

·  Provide support, organize and carry out training for technology users

·  Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing and reporting results from genome editing tests conducted for Gene Discovery.

·  Participation in collaborations and interaction with external partners

·  Respect the various LIMAGRAIN group policies

 

Skills: what we expect of you

Skills Expected:

·  Proficiency in molecular biology techniques.

·  Ability to use and optimize genome engineering tools.

·  Knowledge/mastery of in vitro plant tissue culture and genetic transformation technologies for both monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants would be advantageous.

·  Results Analysis and Internal Communication

·  Organizing the transfer of validated technologies to teams responsible for genome editing in vegetables.

·  Basic Knowledge of Statistics and Data Analysis:

·  Understanding Regulatory Constraints and Practical Knowledge of Quality Processes

·  Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills

·  Personal Commitment to Promoting Continuous Improvement and Innovation

·  Autonomy, Rigor, and Adaptability in a Multicultural and International Context

·  English (Operational, both written and spoken) is mandatory, and French is a plus.
