Main Goal

Manages the Product Development program of all varieties, with Tomatoes, Sweet Peppers, Corn, and Bean being the main ones, within the SAM region (Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay) and ensures coordination of development activities of products coming from HM.CLAUSE breeding programs as well as sister BU’s product portfolio for which the region has been granted the distribution rights.

Job description

Manages the Product Development program of pipeline of different BUs present in each subs within the SAM region. Ensures coordination of development activities of products coming from HMC breeding programs as well as sister BU's product portfolio for which the region has been granted the distribution rights.

Profile

Education (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture required; Master's level degree desired.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Sales, Management and/or related position within the vegetable industry.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• English fluency required; Bilingual in Spanish preferred. French a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must be available for world-wide travel.

Technical Skills – Knowledge of the Fresh Market or Processing market / industry. Experience in the vegetable industry. Possess crop management technical skills. Ability to evaluate trials and new variety selections. Supervisory experience. PC skills needed.
Interpersonal Skills – Possess strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain productive work relationships with associates, dealers, grower customers and related industry personnel.
Teamwork - Team player with a positive attitude, as well as the ability to facilitate teamwork among staff.
Judgment - Exhibits sound and accurate judgment. Accepts personal responsibility for task fulfillment and job performance.
Professionalism - Highly self-motivated individual, with a high level of time management and organizational skills. Well-organized, committed, accurate and thorough, with attention to detail.

Ability to travel on a regular basis throughout the assigned territory, and to company/industry meetings as required. Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
