Main Goal
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Reporting to the Global Accounting and Compliance Lead, the Regional Finance Manager – Americas & the Pacific (AMPA) will ensure company’s financial compliance with Group Limagrain rules and external regulations while supporting the company goal for profitable growth and cash. POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The Regional Finance Manager AMPA oversees financial operations, compliance, and reporting across subsidiaries in Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, and the Pacific region. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, enforces internal controls, and supports statutory compliance with tax authorities, auditors, and external partners. The position drives financial performance by optimizing cash flow, managing foreign exchange exposure, and supporting strategic decision-making. It also leads finance team development, digital transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement in accounting standards and regulatory readiness
Job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and coordinate financial operations across AMPA subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, and international accounting standards. Direct local finance managers in financial planning, internal controls, and accounting practices, while managing relationships with banks, vendors, customers, and shareholders. Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting of actuals, including revenue, expenditures, capital investments, and cash flow, with variance analysis against budget and forecast. Manage regional accounting, tax, audit, treasury, insurance, and financial reporting functions in alignment with global finance and AMPA business leadership. Enforce robust internal controls and segregation of duties to mitigate financial, operational, and cybersecurity risks. Support intercompany transactions and ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies and local tax legislation. Drive digital transformation initiatives and oversee the implementation of finance-related IT systems to enhance efficiency and compliance. Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to improve profitability, optimize cash flow, and maintain a balanced foreign exchange position. Monitor and report on key performance indicators including Revenue Growth Rate, Net Cash Position, Return on Investment, and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO); leverage MS Office, especially advanced Excel, to perform financial modeling, timely and accurate reporting, maintain audit readiness, and implement effective risk control measures. Lead and develop the regional finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, compliance readiness, and cross-functional collaboration.
Skills: what we expect of you
Education (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Minimum of BA/BS Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA with concentration in Finance or Accounting preferred. Experience 5 – 7 or more years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience. 2 to 3 years of supervisory, forecasting and budgeting experience.
