Main Goal

Develop and lead the implementation of HM.CLAUSE's business strategy in the Europe Middle East and Africa, and oversee the activities in the region aiming to achieve the company's short, mid and long term financial objectives in alignment with the mid-term strategic plan (MTP) and operational targets (revenue, market share, profitability, cash flow, safety, people engagement and development) by assuring good levels of collaboration and coordination with other departments and divisions of the company, as well as the Limagrain Vegetables Seed Division (LVS).

Carry out these activities in compliance with legislation within the countries where the company operates, and in accordance with the Limagrain and HMC values related to environmental sustainability, employee well-being, and with its corporate social responsibility principles.

Job description

• Establish an overall vision and strategy for the EMEA region consistent with the overall vision and strategy of HM.CLAUSE. Approve policies and procedures for the region that contribute to the definition of the business strategy and overall corporate plan of HMC in close proximity with the Global Strategic Team (GST) while aligning and prioritizing the region's tactical missions.

• Direct responsibility on Sales and Supervise and develop the VP of Sales and organizations within each country, and lead other regional functions within a matrix structure.

• P&L (Regional contribution/Cash) and people responsibility in the region.

• Determine and monitor the regional key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue vs. forecast, Gross Margin, OPEX control, DSO and collection, Safety, People engagement,….

• Coordinate all the activities within the region: oversee the regional operational activities beyond commercial activities (research, production, manufacturing…) and liaise with other functional executives across the organization to ensure a positive working environment within a matrix organization.

• Lead the Regional Executive Committee gathering the different functions at EMEA level, this committee being accountable for the implementation and execution of the strategy at regional level

• Represent the EMEA region within the overall Business Unit organization cultivating bottom up communication and facilitating the coordination of activities in the region to favor collaboration and effective transversal support.

• Contribute to People & Talent Development in the region; develop appropriate organizational structure ensuring succession plans and availability of required competencies / capacities.

• Ensure implementation of Limagrain and HM.CLAUSE guidelines and policies related to Health and Safety and Business Conduct, and full compliance of the local operations with all applicable laws & regulations.

• As a member of the GST (senior management team) of HM.CLAUSE, contribute to the development and execution of the overall BU's strategy and plans.

• Establish relevant contacts in the region to facilitate local business (administrations, professional association, LVS) representing externally the interest of the business with diverse stakeholders.

• Communicate, cascade and align the company's strategy and objectives to the Regional Executives and direct reports.

• Work with Human Resources on organizational development, governance and compliance for the region.
Key Business responsibilities for EMEA, Represent sales within LVS Sales Forum, Ensure coordination between the different Regions for global projects and participate in Industry forums like Euroseeds


• Minimum Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Ag Science, Agronomy or another business-related field

• Minimum 10 year's experiences in Seed Industry, preferably in Vegetable Seeds in an international environment with progressive management responsibilities and oversight management (region or business unit)

• Fluent in English; additional language desired.
