SALES & MARKETING - SALES

Main Goal

As part of the activities of the Limagrain Ingredients Business Line, you will be developing the position of Limagrain Ingredients in the pet food market by identifying and acquiring appropriate new customer target, realizing developing business leads, and selling Limagrain Ingredients’ pet food portfolio in line with the sales strategy.

You are part of a professional and enthusiastic sales team, located in France, The Netherlands, and Germany. You will work as well closely with the R&D and Marketing departments to promote and sell the organization’s products in Pet Food.

You will be working from France (either home office or in the headquarter in Riom). The position required regular business travels either in field sales or to visit our different sites.

Job description

Reporting to the Pole Manager you will be responsible for:

 - Developing the appropriate skills and knowledge on products and customers by working closely with all Limagrain Ingredients departments (sales, marketing, R&D, operations).

- Working closely with the marketing department, to understand the pet food market and trends, to identify and to propose future opportunities, and finally to acquire new customers in your segment by generating leads.

 - Developing effective relationships with key accounts, identifying the decision makers and understanding their process and context.

- Negotiating volumes and prices in line with commercial policy, and annual or multi-year contracts with the aim of developing and maintaining the customer portfolio.

- Through product knowledge, translating customer needs into concrete solutions. As such you advise customers on the selection and use of current products, including regulatory issues and quality assurance.

- Ensuring activity reporting through CRM and other means of reports on your visits/meetings to monitor active sales forecasts, projects and analyzing risks and opportunities.

- Participating in relevant national and international trade fair and other events

 

Skills: what we expect of you

You have a 5-year higher education, such as master’s degree, business school or engineering degree.

You have a first significant experience (3 to 5 years) in sales, ideally in pet food or food, with a first knowledge on this market.

Thanks to your experience you demonstrate negotiation skills, customer empathy as well as ideally ability to develop new business.

You are recognized for your ability to work with full autonomy, your organization skills and ability to cope with existing organization and tools in place.

Your active listening skills enable you to understand the needs of your contacts. Your agility, open minded, tenacity and creativity have enabled you to find solutions and develop new business.

You are proficient in English and master IT tools. Other language skills are welcome. You enjoy being on the road: traveling to customers and events (national and international) is not a challenge for you.
