RESEARCH & INNOVATION - TRAIT & SCIENCE SUPPORT

Main Goal

At our Research Center located in Chappes (63, near Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne, France), our Molecular Analysis Platform is looking for its future Laboratory Planning and Operations Manager, on a permanent contract.

You will report to the Molecular Analysis Platform Manager, and interact directly with the Genotyping Production Managers to develop and manage the platform's planning and requirements.

Job description

Your team is responsible for creating genotyping projects, purchasing and invoicing analyses carried out by the laboratory.

Your main missions will be to:

► Develop and manage the planning of genotyping projects in collaboration with Genotyping Production Managers and the laboratory's clients.


► Monitor their requests and interact effectively with the Molecular Analysis Platform Manager to adjust resources and project turnaround times.


► Participate in budget preparation and control expenses.


► Oversee operating and capital expenditure in accordance with the budget plan.


► Manage and optimize the billing process to customers for genotyping projects performed by the laboratory.


► Prepares monthly reports on Key Performance Indicators and operations.


► Manage a team of up to five people, assign tasks, ensure appropriate training, and evaluate performance.

Skills: what we expect of you

YOUR PROFILE

► Master degree in Planning, Science, Engineering or related discipline with at least 4 years of experience in management of activity and people.

YOUR EXPERTISE

► Experience in supervision, training, and personnel management.
► Experience in planning and project management.
► Knowledge of computer programs and applications, such as Microsoft Office, data visualization tools and, or database management.
► Knowledge in genotyping is a plus.
► Knowledge in programming is a plus.

YOUR SKILLS

► Must be innovative and detail oriented.
► Strong analytical skills.
► Good communication and interpersonal skills.
