RESEARCH & INNOVATION - BREEDING
Main Goal
Within the Wheat Research Department, we are looking for a wheat breeding technician.
This position is responsible for carrying out breeding programs designed by the breeders, and for their material and technical organization. This includes implementing programs in the field according to the processes defined by the manager, right up to the transmission of validated data.
Job description
- Prepare and carry out harvesting in the field, in compliance with the protocols defined by the program.
- Participate in sowing preparations, respecting protocols defined by the program.
- Manage a team of seasonal staff: including training personnel on the job and ensuring that work is carried out in compliance with safety rules and standards.
- Formatting and computer tracking of completed projects. Present results on time.
- Participate in the daily work of the team: staking of platforms, inoculations, management of harvest samples, inventory, etc.
- Participate in quality analysis of flours during the winter.
- Carry out nursery notations
Skills: what we expect of you
- Holder of a BTS or BUT or equivalent bac+2 or +3 in breeding, plant production, agronomy.
- Strong interest in the world of breeding and field work
- Computer skills
- Versatility, autonomy, rigor and team spirit essential.
Entry-level profile or young graduate looking for a first experience in breeding.
