Job description


Manage the HM.Clause global seed supply function and execute the seed production plan within the global seed supply budget for the Cucurbits.

In alignment with HM.Clause's Mid Term plan for Supply Chain and as an integrated part our crop specific strategy as developed by Marketing (SCR), the Global Seed Supply Lead is responsible for the development and implementation of our global production and sourcing strategy and for the procurement of the seed supply required to offset the global demand plan of sales.

Note: Other duties may be assigned

• As a member of the Seed Production & Seed Supply Management Team (GMT), contribute to define strategy for the department and execute actions accordingly
• Develop and implement a global production strategy aligned with our overall business strategy as laid out by our Mid Term Plan for the Supply Chain
• Actively Participate in LVS Cucurbits Crop Team, translating the strategy into actions and reporting on progress
• Integrate/represent the Production strategy throughout the BU global strategic crop review
• Manage the Seed Supply Managers and coordinate the Global Crop Team for Cucurbits
• Develop and implement harmonized resources (systems, processes, tools etc.) to manage the team of Seed Supply Managers
• Attend semi-annual Release meetings and Consolidate and validate a global production plan in line with requirements (quantity, quality, time)
• Build/update purchase budget based on global production plan and execute/monitor purchases accordingly
• Establish and execute/monitor OPEX budget (travel expenses etc.)
• Spearhead vendor selection and strategic business partner relationships with third parties
• Lead the Seed Supply Manager/Technical Expert teams, establish/monitor objectives, and provide management oversight of day to day operations
• Systematically develop and support the team through performance evaluation, training, and succession planning
• Identify and initiate production research projects with input from Seed Supply Managers/Technical Experts
• Participate in BU G100 leadership organization


• BS in Agriculture or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in vegetable seed production.
• Previous experience with global seed supply management desired
• Leadership experience with effective interpersonal communication and management skills is essential
• Experience in budget management
• Ability to travel at least 25% of time to domestic and international locations.
