Main Goal

We are looking for a Head of Marketing & Business Development to be in charge of leading our company's marketing vision and efforts.

You will be responsible for evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing orientation and efforts, building awareness, strength and positioning for our company's brands. You will manage the product range; the variety life cycles and lead crops strategy and market strategic segmentations. You will be working closely with our R&D team to achieve our portfolio objectives and with our sales department to maximize profits and market share. Finally, you will be in charge of all marketing communication domains, including events, brand excellence, digital, content & PR.

The Head of Marketing and Business Development is responsible for managing remote and diverse teams: Product Management, Marketing Communication, Chain Management-Fresh Produce and Marketing Operations.

In this role you will report to the CEO or Deputy CEO of Hazera. You will be a member of the Executive Management Team of Hazera and Group Limagrain Executives. You will be part of the Group Limagrain Marketing Forum and will contribute to its Marketing objectives and activities. The role involves frequent international travel.

This role will be based in Brurim, IL or Made, NL.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Lead the Marketing division team, located in various countries, with 7 direct reports in Global Product Management, Marketing Operations Management and Global Marketing Communication Management.
• Evaluating and developing our marketing strategy and marketing plans.
• Improving Marketing processes and procedures, setting indicators and targets, implementation of methodology. and practices to optimize product range and variety life cycle.
• Investigate demand for our products and services and explore opportunities.
• Supporting sales and lead generation efforts.
• Working with the other corporate departments especially with R&D and sales in achieving our portfolio objectives and maximizing profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
• Understanding and developing budgets, projections and business analysis.
• Building commercial brand awareness, strength and positioning.
• Develop and implement marketing-communication strategies and plans including for accelerating digitization, events, brand excellence, contents and PR.


Profile Requirements:
• Master's in business/Marketing/Communication or Agriculture/Life Science.
• Executive experience in all aspects of Marketing-management within a global, large and complex organization.
• Experience in a Seed Company - a significant advantage.
• Experience in running an international marketing team in international markets – B2B (and beyond).
• Experience in working in an ambiguous, dynamic and highly demanding agenda.
• Proven experience in reaching quantitative and qualitative targets.
• Willingness to travel 40% across the world.
• Fluent in English, additional language desired (Dutch, Hebrew, Spanish and French are nice to have).
