Main Goal

Your main responsibility is to lead the implementation of the Limagrain Ingredients business and marketing strategy to achieve the company short, mid and long term financial objectives and operation targets (revenue, market share, profitability, and cash flow).

The position is reporting to the CEO of the BU and is located either in Riom in France or in Weert in the Netherlands.

Job description

Your main missions will be to:

-        Recommend - through all market intelligence, market trends, competition and customers analysis - the BU strategy for the different commercial poles to better match market opportunities.

-        Develop and implement the commercial policy. This includes pricing policy, as well as business models. 

-        Develop and implement the marketing plan needed to support sales as well as BU communication strategy to external audience targets, and the innovation plan in connection with R&D.

-        Drive commercial excellence across Limagrain Ingredients : ensure sales organization with appropriate competencies and capacities, and develop if necessary sales effectiveness program or trainings with the support of HR.

-        Oversee, monitor, and evaluate Limagrain Ingredients commercial performance for our strategic markets : 

. Define commercial targets and coordinate sales budgets and midterm sales plan

. Monitor and assess sales performance.

. Identify and implement corrective actions in case of deviation vs plan / underperformance.

-        Negotiate on some occasions with key customers or in case of major litigation.

-        Network with professional associations, key customers or potential prospects through regular visits or appropriate meetings, to develop company overall branding and leverage future partnerships.

-        People management: 

o   Directly manage the different pole managers and area managers. You will manage the marketing manager as well and the customer services.

o   Lead Limagrain Ingredients Sales community and organize an annual conference to steer the next campaign.

-        Manage and improve interfaces and collaboration with purchasing, operations, R&D, and support functions, personally and for the overall sales & marketing team members.

-        Opex management : be accountable for the Opex decided in the BU budget process.

-        As a member of Limagrain Ingredients Management Committee, contribute to the development and execution of the overall strategy


-        Master or Business School degree in sales, marketing, business administration or MBA 

-        Minimum 10 years professional experience in senior sales management and/or commercial excellence position in an international environment.

-        Significant experience in marketing, brand image management, innovation.

-        Proven experience in B-to-B international markets

-        Good knowledge of the food and feed business, with a business network.

-        Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken). Knowledge of French, German will be a plus;

-        Willingness to travel frequently.

-        Through your education and experience you have demonstrated an ability to lead and inspire a community as well as the ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team.

-        Result oriented and pragmatic, you exercise sound judgement and make decisions or solve problems based on accurate and timely analysis.

-        Outstanding interpersonal relationship building, ability to cooperate with different functions,

-        Through your managerial experience you are recognized for letting your team members grow, for your managerial courage and your role as a change agent. 

-        Strong commercial mindset and customer advocacy: you are open minded, creative, and flexible.
