Main Goal

Vilmorin-Mikado Mexico is opening a new position of HR Business Partner. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven HR business partner to align our HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs.

Duties for the HR business partner will include aligning staff to business objectives, recruiting the right talent, enhancing staff performance, supporting employee development, enhancing recruitment efforts, planning strategic HR initiatives, managing HR consultants, running orientation and onboarding processes, communicating role expectations, designing succession plans, maintaining staff relations, managing internships, updating policies and practices, and overseeing wellness and health initiatives.

Your experience in human resources management will aid our organization in adding value to overall business objectives, providing HR solutions, resolving personnel grievances, retaining a talented workforce, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate for this role should have a good understanding of business functions, good communication skills, good interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and good organizational skills. The noteworthy HR business partner should improve HR initiatives, enhance staff morale, enhance relations between staff and employers, contribute to attaining business goals, promote good HR practices, and attract talented recruits.

Job description

Where you will contribute:
A.   Employee Relations, Performance Management, Manager and Employee Coaching, Training and Development, Workforce Planning, Strategic Initiatives

·         Provides insightful, confidential, and business-focused guidance to leaders on all matters related to associate and organization development. Leads succession planning and cross-functional talent discussions with leadership teams.
·         Works closely with the local leadership team, assessing and developing the organization structure
·         Partner with managers and supervisors for employee relations matters including coaching, corrective action, and conflict resolution, performance management, and generally providing supervisor support and training
·         Handle employee relations, and investigations from start to finish ensuring employee privacy where appropriate, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive information or reports.
·         Coordinate with and obtain approvals in line with agreed protocols, escalating requests that are out of process and or require special handling and recommend appropriate resolutions, including policy exceptions.
·         Partner with company’s general counsel and outside employment attorneys to ensure compliance with policies and regulations as needed.
·         Manages projects and/or participates as a project member on company-wide HR initiatives.


B.   Recruiting, Onboarding, Separations, Internships, Mobility

·      Proficient in effective and legal compliant hiring practices for all types of employees (determinate, indeterminate, temporary and internship contracts).
·      Manage the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components involved in the full lifecycle of recruiting (including mobility and visa management if necessary).
·      Evaluate employment qualifications (job experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and training).
·      Write, review, and place local job descriptions, job posting/requisitions, and other branding/advertising relating to recruiting.
·      Identify, screen, interview candidates, interfacing with hiring manager to assess their needs throughout the recruitment process and provide coaching as needed.
·      Develop a system for implementing and executing effective hiring, onboarding, and separation practices and documentation, as well as to track and monitor the various aspects of recruitment and selection.


C.    General HR Administration, Benefits , Reporting, Safety, and Worker’s Compensation (Título IX de la Ley Federal del Trabajo)
·         Comply with all regulations, manuals, safety, health and environment codes as well as corporate guidelines
·         Administer the policies, programs, and practices that meet the needs of Vilmorin Mikado Mexico, and that comply with local state and federal laws.
·         Serve as first point of contact for questions related to leaves of absence etc. 

Profile

Education and/or Experience                                             

·         Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field

·         Minimum 5 - 7 years of progressive experience as an HR generalist. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and labor relations, performance management, and respective employment laws. Relevant industry experience is a plus

·         Fluency in English and Spanish required
