Main Goal


Purpose and Job Summary • You manage the Indian Communication team and you are responsible for the external communication actions in India.
• As Project Manager for the Product Strategic Committee, you define with Sales and Marketing counterparts, the strategies to promote our products and brands.
• Accordingly, you validate and control implementation of the local communication action plans, while assuring integration of corporate communication actions decided by the specific management.
• You are also a business expert (media relations, events…) and, as such, you provide support, on demand, to any member of the communication team.
• In close connection with the Global Internal Communication Team, the GM of India and with Asian HR team, you validate and implement Internal Communication plans and actions. More specifically, you're responsible of all Internal communication which are in close connection with products, brands, external events, … (HR topics being under HR responsibilities)

Job description

• You are under the management of the Communications Director, based in our France Headquarters. He/she will support you and give you general objectives regarding communication (Expertise). Locally, you'll benefit from the management of the GM of India (for daily and organizational topics)
• You are the Project Leader for the Product Strategic Committee (including Marketing, Sales and Communication). As such, you:
o Define strategies to promote our products and commercial brands,
o Prioritize communication projects,
o Define the budget
• Provide your team with a clear annual roadmap.
• You have under your direct management, a team composed of 2 persons (local Communication representatives). As such, you:
o Animate your local communication representatives' team,
o Help in defining and validate each local annual communication action plan aligned with the annual roadmap
o Control its implementation,
o Help in defining each associated local budget & control its alignment with forecasts,
o Deliver regular guidance and advice to your team in order to improve their efficiency,
o Provide your team an operational support when needed,
o Ensure temporary transition in case of vacancy of the local communication representative position.
• You manage a national budget to support countries' initiatives
• You ensure the complementary missions of:
o India Internal Communication in close connection with the BU Internal Communication Manager, HR and GM
o India Corporate Communication under BU Corporate Communication Management
• You control results of communication efforts (ROI)
• You ensure the transfer of knowledge to the team and develop their skills through tools, methodologies and trainings.
• You are also a business expert (in media relations, events…) and you continually keep going to maintain this high level of expertise and make the entire team benefit from it.
• You promote the communication Mid-Term-Plan initiatives:
o By encouraging the “one team spirit” through promotion of daily collaboration within the team
o By adopting a systematic Quality Assurance approach to build our best practices program around defined processes and control the risk associated to communication activities.
o By promoting the common digital tools for collaboration within the team

• Must be a confident communicator and presenter

• Professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
• Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills

• Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
• Ability to tap into the pulse of target audience in order to customize content and make it more effective
• Ability to be a project manager
• Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
• Must be proficient at working with others, show enthusiasm and dynamism

• You work closely with the BU Internal Communications Management to control the implementation of the internal communication plans in your perimeter.
• You work closely with the BU Corporate Communications Management to control the implementation of the corporate communication plans in your perimeter.
• You can be asked to represent the company in one or the other professional associations.

Language requirements
Fluent International English / Strong written and oral abilities
Education / experience Master degree in Journalism, Marketing, communication OR in Agronomics, with at least 10 years of experience in Marketing or Communication
