GENERAL MANAGEMENT - GENERAL MANAGEMENT

Main Goal

Limagrain Group has strong ambitions for its Field Seeds business line and specially in the territory of Americas which represent an important growth vector.

 

In a context of fast pace of growth, Member of the Limagrain Field Seeds Executive Committee (LFSEC), you will be reporting to the CEO of Limagrain Field Seeds (LFS) in Americas and will closely collaborating to drive organizational vision, operational excellence, delivery of Ambition 2030 strategy and to refine management practices that enable high performing and effective teams.

 

Key responsibilities will provide full oversight of Commercial activities in South America, as well as ensuring an efficient and active interface with the research head and teams, resulting in expanding our footprint to new geographies with all crops, new market segments and renew product portfolio, ensuring the delivery of expected results.

Job description

-Provide leadership to the commercial organizations and develop the overall sales & go-to-market strategy, operational plans and processes that drives revenue and margin growth, increase of market share and accomplish financial objectives.

 

-Take full ownership of the commercial annual planning, including commercial order for production, manage a robust and cost-effective model to directing the Sales execution and effectiveness.

 

-Oversee goal-setting processes for all levels of sales organization, provides direction and guidance to succession planning and takes commitment in development of countries’ business leaders capabilities.

         

-Ensure close collaboration and coordination with research head and teams: an effective orientation of research is a key success factor in selecting for a renewed and expanded offer.

 

-Develop product-positioning strategies, ensuring proprietary genetics products are the key drivers in the market penetration strategy towards a higher market share in the countries.

 

-Anticipate market changes in the geography and in crops, analyze data underlying trends, and define a long-term strategy as well as implement or review tools, such as CRM to prepare and well equip the countries for future challenges.

 

-Oversee the development and implementation of an effective marketing and communication strategy.

-Take leadership of the cross-functional teams “crop teams”,to accelerate the market penetration of our proprietary genetics products.

-Carry out competitive intelligence work on the national and international market in the field of activity concerned.

Skills: what we expect of you

You have an extensive and proven experience (+15 years) in various leadership roles preferably in Agribusiness/Seeds.

Strong track record in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision, you are used to working collaboratively in a transversal and matrix organization.

Working experience in Brazil and in business management are a must.

In-depth knowledge of corporate governance, general management best practices and performance management principles.

Thorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas and phases of business operations.

Portuguese & English fluent – other language is a plus.
