Main Goal

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Supports the planning and supply function of assigned product categories through the recommendation and implementation of production and supply strategies, turning of stock per: product life cycle, quality and inventory level, customer demands and business objectives. A Seasonal SCP Support could also conduct Pack Planning activities as the SCP scope is limited (in turnover value and volume of species managed).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Planning – Flow Coordination, Ensure Best Use of Stock, Production Plan
•Efficiently Plan, Coordinate and Prioritize Supply Chain Planning/Pack Planning activities according to Demand while respecting Cost, Profitability & Operational Constraints.
•Research, extract, synthesize and analyze data using MSQUERY, Excel Data Modeling, Pivot/PowerPivot and other Business Intelligence tools to monitor supply key performance metrics on a daily/weekly/yearly basis.
•Analyze the Finished products Inventory Statement to pull the needed Semi-finished quantities to the required Product forms and Qualities.

Executing – Flow Coordination, Ensure Best Use of Stock, Subcontracting, Quality Interpretation
•Measure and Maintain critical inventory parameters including classification and stock allocations per market demand.
•Determine and execute processes/ technical paths for stock based according to commercial portfolio needs.
•Manage stock, set priorities to optimize quality tests and factory operations (minimize loss, etc.)
•Determine and launch complementary quality tests.
•Promptly and proactively responds to internal department needs

Communicating – Sales Interfaces, Team Management/Team-Orientation
•Effectively participates with professionalism and objectivity in collaborative meetings among multiple levels of internal stakeholders (peers, colleagues, middle and upper management).
•Collaborate with Manufacturing Managers to optimize factory capacity and meet customer demand.
•Communicate with urgency and sensitivity, detailed and accurate data analysis of supply constraints to all stakeholders including Inventory Manager, Sales Data Planning, and Quality Control.
•Support and explain reasoning for decisions and informs Senior Supply Chain Planner about seed availabilities while upholding a team oriented and professional demeanor.

Continuous Improvement – Ensure Best Use of Stock, Quality Interpretation, Continuous Improvement
•Adapts to changes in the organization with resourcefulness and strives to increase productivity and improve standards.
•Identify gaps in processes/strategies, proposes corrective actions, takes calculated risks and executes action plan.
•Study quality parameters, trends, genealogies, stock levels and identify root causes using quantitative support.

Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma, 2 Year College Degree Preferred
• Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or seed industry experience preferred
• Experience with MRP/ERP (JD Edwards/JDE), SAP or Oracle
• Proficient in a Windows-based PC environment (PowerPoint, Word, Excel required)
