Main Goal
To manage the overall of seed production and co-ordination along the supply chain, especially with plant processing, quality control, RD and SPR to manage both cost & responsiveness
Job description
Key Accountabilities -Within the context of Seed Production Thailand, manage all processes associated with SPP, variety placement, contracting and pricing of seed production for commercial, to satisfy corn market requirements for quality, quantity, timing and price (‘QQTP’) -Develop, maintain & execute the global multiplication variety plan for commercial. -Understand the local market dynamics for Corn and ensure seed multiplication capabilities are in place to meet those needs (i.e. develop new and existing grower), with a clear focus on quality and customer responsiveness. -Determine production planning parameters such as production safety and base yield levels, to ensure production risks are balanced against the achievement of the supply plan. -As the core technical expert, provide crop/variety specific knowledge to local internal teams and grower leader as required (e.g. Advice on field capabilities needed). -Support the grower contracting and payment process, through agreeing purchase prices and other contracting terms within the framework provided by company -Manage the variety transition from development to supply chain (i.e. Fast Track capacities and capabilities). -Define KPI to evaluate and communicate variety production and grower leader/grower performance, implementing appropriate measures for continuous improvement. -Ensure IP security is in line with the LFS strategy. -Ensure all grower leader communicate, Reporting in a timely. -Define and own targets set against the standard set of Seeds KPI’s, to monitor Supply Chain performance. -Proactively identify potential supply issues within the 5-10 year planning horizon and work with key stakeholders to ensure they are resolved. -Establish and provide guidelines for product specifications based on market needs and supply chain technical capabilities. -Ensure HSE goals are established and reached: support all safety activities in Field. -Lead and manage assigned CAPEX Projects within the function. -Monitor and manage global and country initiatives for continual improvement in quality reliability and costs
