Within the Supply Chain department and working with the planning manager, your role is to manage the flows for the species for which you are responsible and to make the products available at the required commercial quality, at the right quantity and at the promised dates to customer.
Main Missions and Activities:
- Plan supplies, follow-up supply issues and lead seed production decision meetings. Key actor of S&OP process.
- Analyze Seed quality test results and classify stocks accordingly.
- Create work orders and plan manufacturing priorities
- Take part of MRP system implementation. Analyze the MRP message (needs) and execute.
- Collaborate and harmonize the common system usage within Vilmorin Mikado. Publish and edit the manuals.
- Manage subcontracting flows and execution.
- Optimize current and future stocks in quantity and quality, initiate periodic stock recontrol.
- Initiate quality derogation, participate in responding to customer complaints
- Ensure the best balance between supply (stock) and demand, lead Demand & Supply meetings for your species.
- Being proactive in the management of excess stocks and proposing alternative solutions in the event of a shortage.
Knowledge of the seed sector: production, sales, and processing cycles, Phytosanitary, regulations.
3+ years' experience in production/materials planning/supply planning/capacity planning /MRP system.
Basic knowledge of demand planning.
JD Edwards or similar ERP system experience preferred
