Limagrain Cereal Seeds is headquartered in Colorado – centrally positioned to our research stations in North Dakota, Washington, Indiana and Kansas, as well as more than 25 participating land grant universities across the United States. We are dedicated to developing new, improved grain varieties bred expressly for our growers' climates, soils and growing conditions.
Wheat is the world's largest crop, with over 705 tons (640 million metric tonnes) produced annually. The United Nations estimates that 20 percent of all the calories consumed by the human race come from wheat. As the world population increases, mankind needs increasingly more food. At LCS, we understand that we have an important role in making this possible.
Since 2010, Limagrain Cereal Seeds has transitioned from a new player in the U.S. wheat market to the company U.S. farmers rely on for improved wheat and barley genetics. We have more than 75 distinct varieties in the marketplace – offered in 36 states and representing all major market classes of wheat and barley – and we are constantly researching, breeding, testing and releasing new varieties to meet the needs of our growers.

SALES & MARKETING - MARKETING

Main Goal

We are looking for a dynamic individual to assist our National Sales and Marketing Manager (NSM) with a broad range of commercial activities supporting the marketing and sales of LCS products across the United States. S/he will be responsible for working cross-functionally with regional teams to assist in the annual development of commercial advertising and promotional plans that drive product sales and increase brand awareness.  Other critical job functions include advertising and promotional activity planning, budget management, website management, technical data analysis, social media management and customer relations.

 This position is located in Fort Collins, CO  USA

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Traditional Marketing

· Lead with Regional Commercial Managers (RCMs) to manage design and publication of technical seed guides

·Work with NSM, RCMs and PR team to plan and develop of regional advertising and promotional campaigns

·Work with PR Agencies to manage website content

·Digital promotion (Twitter, Facebook, Google AdWords and organic SEO)

·Promotional products management (selection, ordering and shipping to clients and commercial team)

·Primary point of contact for multiple PR/Marketing firms on retainer with LCS

 Technical Data Management

·Work cross-functionally with RCMs with compilation of technical data to generate technical sales data

·Assist NSM with compilation of technical data packages for upper management

·Assist breeding programs with advanced experimental data preparation for 4 annual release meetings

 Strategic Sales and Marketing Planning

·Work with NSM to produce annual update of regional production, acreage, pricing and economic return data

·Assist in the creation of reports and slides to for multiple meetings and events throughout the year

 Customer Relationship Management

·Coordinate with sales staff and management with organization of key client trips, domestic and international

·Assist RCMs with key customer point-of-sale marketing campaign development

·Ensure RCMs have adequate trade show equipment, technical materials and promotional items

Profile

Education and Experience

·Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Agricultural Business or similar area of study preferred

·Agricultural experience with small grains, specifically wheat and barley preferred

·Advanced skills with MS Excel required

·Advanced skills with MS PowerPoint and MS Word preferred

·Intermediate skill with the Adobe Design Suite – Specifically: Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop preferred

·Intermediate skill in website design via the WordPress platform preferred
