Main Goal
Responsible for the management and business development of the assigned product/area Portfolio, product testing, quality specifications, determining product forms, marketing, sales forecast validation and managing safety stocks.
Job description
Manage and develop the ASIA team of Product Managers.
Participate in and contribute to the Regional Executive Committee (EXECOM Asia) as a part of the marketing management team (MMT) and contribute towards the mid-term plans of the company.
Essentials duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead the development and the execution of the crop strategy for the ASIA portfolio
• Oversee the Product Management activities of the team including life-cycle of products included in the assigned global product/area portfolio, marketing mix, product assortment, pricing, marketing plans, Intellectual Property, turnover and margin optimization
• Provide direction to research and breeding by defining product segmentation, product characteristics and market requirements for mid and long-term goals.
• Build constructive relationships with managers of other Divisions and participate in cross functional projects aimed at improving the company's operational excellence
• Responsible for developing the Intellectual Property strategy for the ASIA portfolio.
• Responsible for the Commercial Product Quality Specifications for the ASIA Seed Portfolio.
• Participate in Brand management.
• Manage, train and coach a group of Product Managers.
• Initiate and lead business development initiatives (licensing in/out, co-hybrid, partnerships).
• Participate in the ASIA Regional Executive Committee (Execom).
• Participate in the Marketing Management team (MMT) : contribute to building HM.CLAUSE's Mid Term Plan and improving Marketing processes, systems and tools
Profile
Education & work experience required:
• A Bachelors or Master degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness or science or an MBA required.
• Experience of 5 years and above in vegetable seed business, breeding, seed development, seed sales, or vegetable production would be advantageous.
• Languages: Fluent in English. French and/or Spanish Advantageous.
