Job description

Manage the human resources activities of the HM.CLAUSE Supply Chain plant in Modesto, CA and Nampa, ID to ensure alignment between the business operations and HR practices and objectives. In addition to managing domestic HR issues, this positions partners with international affiliations and sister companies to support HR matters as needed.

This role is part of the Modesto Leadership Team and the anticipated start date is January 2021

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) role contributes to company performance by providing tactical and strategic consulting on people and organizational development strategies in support of the business objectives. The Sr. HRBP will carry out several responsibilities including, support of talent acquisition; employee relations, safety, regulatory compliance, policy interpretation and application, performance and compensation management consultation, organizational design, employee development and engagement initiatives, and related HR consulting activities. May carry out additional responsibilities to include administrative supervision and may manage a center of excellence within HR Operations.

•Aligns business objectives with employees and management for the designated business function.
•Serves as a consultant to management on HR related issues.
•Acts as an employee advocate and change agent.
•Proactively assesses the unit's HR-related needs, and is active in finding an efficient and timely
resolution.
•Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its mid/long-
term goals and objectives, its culture, and its performance.
•Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
•Works closely with management and employees to improve relationships, build morale, increase
productivity and retention.
•Coaches the business' department heads and other managers in the performance management processes, compensation, recruitment practices, and management decision-making.
•Manages and resolves delicate and complex employee relations matters, and conducts, thorough and effective investigations and resolutions.
•Supports leadership on progressive discipline of employees, as well as employment decisions and Organizational changes.
•Secures compliance and is the first point of contact for employment matters for all responsible sites.
•Serves as the first stop, dedicated point of contact for all HR related questions/concerns of the function's
Employees.
•Leads and supports in key HR projects and company initiatives.
•Provides training, coaching, and mentoring to local HR Support when applicable.
•Occasional travel within the United States and international travel may be required as needed.

Profile

Education and/or Experience

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; MHRM or MBA preferred
Minimum 5 years in an HR strategic role.
Must be proficient in English; proficiency in Spanish a plus.
PHR or SPHR preferred

Center of Excellence
May be responsible for the complete management of a center of excellence within HR Operations. This may include any of the following: Employee Relations, Employee Engagement Programs, Safety & Workers Compensation, Administration & Onboarding, Employment Regulatory Compliance, HR Consulting to Sister Companies.

Supervisory Responsibilities
May provide administrative supervision to Local HR Support, and/or Location Safety Coordinators when and where applicable.
