RESEARCH & INNOVATION - RESEARCH MANAGEMENT

Main Goal

This position will report to Head of Temperate maize breeding and will be a member or the Product Development and Portfolio Business Community

 

China
JV FTZ
-          In close cooperation with the LFS Head of research & temperate maize breeding head help set up the China JV Free Trade Zone  (JV FTZ)

-          President of the JV FTZ board which include CEO reporting, management of board agendas & meeting and reporting

-          Contribute to the animation of the relation with HL JV

-          In close cooperation with the Head of temperate maize breeding contribute to define JV FTZ  maize breeding strategy, define LTP and budget and oversee proper execution. This include the regular breeding activity and also the trait & trait conversion strategy.

-          In accordance with Limagrain Standard deploy the safety politics and contribute to develop a strong safety culture within JV FTZ

-          In accordance with Limagrain standard deploy a proper quality and compliance policy in JV FTZ particularly on all the GM aspect

-          In close link with maize Breeding management contribute to the strong connection between JV FTZ and global maize research organization (Process & methodology alignment, tools & platform use, people germplasm & knowledge exchange)

Job description

HLJV
Act as the R&D senior advisor for HL JV and in that capacity contribute to :

-          Develop clear hybrid breeding strategy and efficient execution

-          Establish a strong safety culture aligned with HL JV safety rules

-          Develop clear quality and compliance policy

-          Animate the relation between HL JV and JV FTZ

-          Strengthen connection between HL JV research team and global maize research organization (Process & methodology alignment, tools & platform use, people & knowledge exchange)

-          Develop efficient process and relation between research and other HLJV function (Product development, Sales, Seed production)

Rice & Millet
Act as head of crops for Rice & Millet.

-          Define crop research strategy, in close relation with relevant BSA business team and local research team

-          Build short, mid & long-term budget (OPEX & CAPEX)

-          With support from the relevant BSA head of research build and develop the Rice and Millet research team.

-          With support of the relevant BSA head of research oversee proper research strategy execution for Rice and Millet.

-          In close relation with LFS Head of research and Head of temperate maize breeding, support the negotiation to trait access (BCS & Syngenta)

-          In close relation with LFS Head of research and Head of temperate maize breeding help AgReliant define its trait use and trait introgression strategy

-          In close relation with LFS Head of research and Head of temperate maize breeding help define AgReliant new modus operandi if current structure were to change.

-          In close relation with Head of temperate maize breeding contribute to optimize AgReliant use of Limagrain breeding methodologies, technologies and capabilities (DH production, Rapid Cycling etc)

-          In close relation with head of Temperate maize Breeding and Mid & Late germplasm coordinator coordinate use of Jointly Owned germplasm across BSA

Temperate maize research programs
-          In close relation with Head of temperate maize breeding, Strategic marketing team & local product development team strengthen, formalize and deploy the process of product identification, characterization and positioning between late stage of research and product development.

-          In close relation with Head of temperate maize breeding, local breeding team & local production team help strengthen, formalize and deploy seed production transition between research and production team.
