Main Goal

Key member of the Finance team in ASIA, the Finance Business Analyst will assist the VP and regional finance manager of ASIA in managing the company’s financial performance goals, and will report to the FP&A-Lead based in France. This position supports the consolidation, analysis, and reporting of ASIA`s regional financial results. In addition, this position will support financial management efforts with accurate, clear, and timely analyses and regional reporting, as required in monthly and quarterly closings, forecasting/budgeting, and internal reporting. Finally, a portion of the role will involve scenario analysis in support of recommendations.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  ·         Support accurate and timely consolidation of  ASIA financial results during forecasts, budgets, and long-term planning exercises, including partnering with members of our global finance team (headquarters, subsidiaries, etc.)

·         Provide financial decision-making support and analysis to VP of  ASIA, GMs in ASIA and Regional financial manager.

·         Identify and implement plans and improvements to optimize planning, analysis, and reporting processes. This includes leveraging information technology to automate, streamline, and integrate processes.

·         Provide accurate, clear, and concise ad hoc enterprise-level financial analysis as required.

·         Participate in, and may lead aspects of, the monthly close process which includes comparing actual performance to latest financial outlook, and reviewing accuracy of revenue, gross margin, and expense information.

·         Prepare management reporting and presentation materials to be delivered to VP Asia, GM, Global Director of FP&A and other Finance Managers as required.

·         Ensure accurate and timely monthly analysis of the P&L and Balance Sheet.

·         Perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis, and modeling as required.

·         Work cross-functionally throughout the organization, serving as the primary financial analysis contact in Asia to Global when needed.

·         Support business efforts including analysis for new product development

·         Identify and implement processes to monitor both financial and non-financial measures.

·         Validate the consistency of the information provided by subsidiaries and provide guidance on key indicators (P&L, balance sheet, working capital requirements, etc.)

·         Assist in monthly reporting in IFRS, and consolidation formats.

·         Support with the flash report

·         Support sales  ASIA function on OpEx, such as actuals, landing, budget /FC processes, relation IFRS and function view, projects follow up and understanding the intercompany activities and co ordinating with other functions in Asia (Supply chain, R&D, etc..) for budget / forecast opex, capex.

Profile

Technical Skills - Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access),JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, SAGE, or other ERP systems experience.  English language Fluency required.  Ability to generate new, creative approaches to problems, or original modifications/innovations to established approaches. 

 

Interpersonal Skills - Demonstrated strong presentation, oral and written communication skills.  Ability to work across all levels of the organization.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, peers, staff, outside agencies, customers, and auditors.

Education and work experience required:

 ·         3-5 years of experience in FP&A .

·         Experience working within an international company.

·         Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).

·         JD Edwards, SAP, or Oracle, SAGE  and Business Objects/Crystal experience desired.

·         Experience consolidating data, accounting entries, balance consolidation, etc.

·         Industry: Agriculture, Manufacturing, Consumer Industry, Processing, Automotive all qualify.

·         English fluency required
