As Sunflower Production Leader of the BU Limagrain Europe, the main responsibility is to lead and to perform the entire crop production of sunflower across Europe.

The position is reporting to the Business Unit Head of Operation of the BU and is located in Saint-Beauzire in France.

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations Europe, and as a key actor of the Operations Team in Europe :

• You define and implement the Sunflower agronomic strategy and contribute to the industrial strategy associated to meet business requirements in a context of volatile markets
• You drive the improvement of our agronomic production KPI (Yield, Reliability, Quality, Costs of Goods Production) and monitor the industrial KPI to address the challenges in collaboration with the industrial performance Leader
• You build the production plans and define the best agronomic practices to achieve the agronomic targets : volume, reliability, quality and Costs of Goods Production
• You ensure technical guidance for all Sunflower Seed Production Team across, internal and 3rd party

• You are accountable of the agronomic production budget for Sunflower crop and ensure consistency with regular reporting such as production updates, crop evaluations, budget forecasts…

You also bring the Sunflower Agronomic Production expertise to the Research & Development, Development Product Management, Operations teams and in the Crop team across Europe.

You represent Operations in the Sunflower Crop and are the interface with other internal teams to implement/execute agreed upon strategies and improvements plan

• Master degree in agriculture/agronomy, with more than 5 years in field seeds production, within an international environment.
• 5+ years background in similar activities and seed production experience (in sunflower is a nice to have)
• Agronomy and crop diagnosis within the fields. Hands on capability
• Management and leadership
• Ability to anticipate and drive change
• Respect, Entrepreneurship, collaboration, accountability in all circumstances
• Ability to influence transversally and to work in a matrix environment.
• Analytical skills, persuasiveness, negotiating expertise and reliability are also requested.
• Fluent in English.
• Frequent travels to production areas in Europe (30% of time)
