This is a lab focused position on Molecular Plant Biology Research. Primary purpose is to provide assistance in designing, planning, and executing multiple research projects in plant molecular biology.
Position Description Summary:
- Designing and performing cloning strategies for one or multiple inserts.
- Plant expression vector design, construction, and quantitative analysis of performance.
- DNA sequencing and sequence analysis.
- Optimization and improvement of protocols.
- Requires extensive use of a diversity of molecular biology techniques.
- Deliver experimental results on a project timeline.
Profile
- Masters degree in Biological Sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years practical lab experience.
- Proficient in MS office.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as in teams.
- Excellent record keeping and organizational skills.
- Spanish is a plus
